100 Days of Learning!

Believe it or not, we are actually on our 114th day of school! Even though it's been a few weeks, I wanted to share with you what we did for our 100th day celebration!

Of course we read a few 100 days' books! Here are a few of my favorites:

During reading and writing time we did several literacy activities from my 100th day unit. First the kids worked on a 100th day of school book:

Next the kids had to write down 100 words! This took them a long time but they had a blast:

Finally, they made a 100th day of school craft and they turned out so cute:

In writing we talked about all the amazing things we learned in each subject over the past 100 days. I then gave the kids a book of webs where they brainstormed things they learned in each subject:

During snack time the kids counted the 100 pieces of snack they bought. They were able to eat them after covering up their 100 chart:

During math time we had four math game/activity rotations related to 100. The first rotation was filling out a hundreds chart and coloring the even and odd numbers:

Next the kids played a money game where they had to sort groups of coins by whether they equaled a $1.00 or not. They also drew examples:

They also worked on a math-related 100th day book:

Their last rotation was making a class book about what they would buy if they had $100. I always love to see what kids think they can get for 100 bucks:

an Elsa doll
jewelry
food to feed my family
movies
a phone and an iPod and hot dog

If you liked any of these activities, make sure to check out my unit by clicking on the picture below:
